I do.like snakes but you had to protect the cardinals you enjoy, excellent shot and photo! I truly understand 👍, no judgement from me.
i have no problem with them either, but when they can harm something that i'm fond of.......then its on.
thank you for your reply, you are always appreciated !!!

Yep. Your yard, your rules. No judgment. BFnS!

The same rules apply in my yard. When things start trying to snack on songbirds or the Wife’s flowers they get popped. The exception is raptors..always welcome even if they explode a bird or two.

And let’s face it. With the rat snake gone there’s likely going to be more furry targets of opportunity LOL. Can’t have it eating your targets.

Gotta do what ya gotta do. Id protect the cardinals too. I did the same thing with snake trying to get at some baby birds we had in a mailbox. I used the Hatsan Invader on that one. I wont shoot just any snake i see unless its a cotton mouth or copperhead or timber rattler here in Missouri. Lot of snakes are good for mice control. But if they mess with my little "pets" its on then..

Here at our house, Cardinals are special.....Not the over paid football players here in Arizona, but the birds. I was always told it is a loved one coming to visit....So every time I see a bright red Cardinal I think of my dad......When the females come around it's my mom.....

Makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside :)
