What springer did you shoot today?

20250730_082111.jpg
I shot this morning before it gets crazy hot again today. I shot the FrankenRauch at 50 yards after one shot to check zero at 25. The next 20 at 50 yards.

15.9 fpe and an extreme spread of 11 across the first 21 shots. I'm pretty happy with that for a springer. I'm really loving non AO scopes lately. The red stickers are 3/4" for scale.

Have a great day
Ron

He’s not quite white but blonde. We have grey squirrels, black and red. Used to have flying squirrels but haven’t seen one in years. Never seen one like this.

Looks like a target. Crow

No shooting today. Had to take the wife to doctors appointment this morning, then we went to a veterans luncheon at a local assisted living center, We have a lot of organizations that put on these luncheons throughout the month at little to no cost to the vet and spouse.
By the time we got home temp is 98 no idea of heat index, but probably around 105.

Cloud and sun, 85 and windy, gorgeous day. Worked on dock, fun job.

Had time to shoot a half dozen stallions with this deadly gun. HW97 .20. Can’t wait to put a spring in this. I’m thinking 12 FPE. My other .20 is reg. Vortek spring.

Had to cut few min.short. The wind was blowing my sun shade all over. Crow

Nice looking dock Crow, hope that’s marine ply.
I haven’t shot any of my 4 air rifles in over a month I think, too busy with bloody doctor appts etc.
So I thought I’d have a face off between my Hw50S and my LGV. Both cold from the safe no warm ups or cherry picking as Mycapt would say. Both 22 cal (that’s all I own) at 20 meters. The target dots are 3/8 of an inch.
The first off the rank on the right was the 50s, 10 shots in all, first shot low, always is in winter next 9 on the money.
LGV up next in the middle, first shot high by about the same distance, next 9 was nearly exactly the same as the 50s.
I think both did exceptionally well, blowing my own horn here.
They are now back in the safe, probably arguing who was the best🤣

Man o man. I have not shot a target in 5 days. Totally addicted to shooting flies. This gun was deadly HW97 .25
IMG_2628.jpeg
And it really wasn’t fair to the flies. At 24 yds. I massacred the horse flies . Here’s one the upper shot. You can see stain and a leg sticking out of the pellet.

One shot kill. No suffering. But some did. I wounded a few and the would buzz around until you finished them off. Giddyup. Crow

I go in for another nasoendoscopy in a couple of weeks, hopefully all clear. I don’t understand your last sentence, have you seen something on the news that I haven’t.🤔

We have cedar here but nothing compared to the cedar of the Westcoast of North America. But very pricey. I call ours swamp cedar. Good luck. Crow

going out to shoot in a bit , just finished digging thorn's out of the flower gardens . I have never seen thorns like this before ? starting out it looks like raspberry stems but then it branches out and the root ball grow's in a clump very hard to dig and pull out . Rose bush like thorns cover the branch and stem.
Nasty ! now to go shoot . This has been a public service message if you see thorns like this dig them out and burn them if you can , do not let them spread .

I hear you. Took break from dock. Been in garden for 3 days. Like digging through cement. Perfect weather though.
Time to shoot a HW50 .22. Has a Vortek kit. Shoots like a dream.

I did some standing plinking today with the 48. Even got the trigger stick and took it out to 50 yards. The sun eventually came out and got too hot to shoot.

Love the 48! Real Man's rifle! Mine I bought new in 2012. .177 shooting Exact Monster 13.43 and accurate with punch!

I got about an hour behind my .22 R1. My 1st time shooting it with it's new left hand original Beeman / Goudy stock. One of my awesome viewers noticed that I was a lefty and that I was shooting a right hand R1. As luck would have it, it turned out that he was a right hand shooter with a left hand stock. We made the trade. Neither one of us got a pristine stock, but we're both very pleased with the outcome. This rifle is amazing. Consistently smacking 1/2" spinners at 55 yards.
