Athlon Ares ETR UHG 3-18x50 34 MM Mrad in FFP with IR

Athlon continues to impress me for what it makes at the price point it gives us.
I continue my quest (obsession) to find the worlds greatest HFT scope for ranging at 16X.
this scope will be limited to 15x as marked for HFT.
I am currently waiting on a 6" round parallax wheel for this scope, but my initial workup on the bench has me totally impressed with the I.Q.
Stay tuned for pics and further details.

I installed my temporary 6” Rowan wheel on the Athlon Ares ETR UHD 3-18x50 today…
As expected at 15x the 34 mm tube body provides for some crystal clear Ranging Out to 40 yards; after 40 it’s the same game as with other scopes at 16x.

Although done quickly in dark overcast conditions I was able to determine the Total spread on a 6” round wheel is 110 degrees from 9.5 yards to 55 yards. IQ is exceptional with this scope And although for HFT we have to stick with 15x as marked, the loss of 1x won’t be noticeable. The image quality is IMO much better than the Heras SPR 6-24x56 SFP but you will sacrifice 10-15 degrees of spread on the wheel Comparatively.
more to come.
