No, the reg can come out without affecting the plenum. However, the block that holds the reg is part of the plenum and valve body assembly. It has to be rotated to allow the reg to be pushed out...and it only rotates until it contacts the barrel. My reg barely clears.
I understand. Thank you for the help…. The more I look into though I don’t think creep is the issue. Because it doesn’t move when I’m not shooting… rereading the terrible “quick start guide” they specifically say to dry fire 6-8 times after making a change to settle the reg. So I’m thinking this is just a quirk or known factor with this reg. On the flip side it’s nice to know that once it settles this reg really doesn’t want to move.

It is an AEA reg. but I don't know enough about them to judge. I followed the guide too but mine would keep creeping after the "settling" dry-fires. All good now.
Yeah and that’s why I think mine is just the reg settling because it doesn’t move unless I shoot it. Honestly now that I figured it out I like it even better. The barra tends to creep up so when tuning it I wouldn’t know the true reg setting for like a day after. It got much better after the reg butter though. I’m not affiliated with him in any way btw I just really really like that stuff. It’s hard to describe but everything about my 250z got better and “snappier” after I redid the whole gun with it.

I have a 22 and 30. Heavy! No doubt but balanced extremely well.

Stupid easy to tune. Highly recommend.

Here’s some shot records from last night. About 550 total shots through gun. 10 different pellets.
Regulator doesn’t seem to do anything, just slowly goes from high to low.

You need to make a spreadsheet my friend. Then you can graph it all out together. My setup is pretty jankey. Cheap Chinese Chrono that I read the numbers from of into my phone as the FPS shows up. I then read the them off the phone and into Google docs and the spreadsheet I made auto populates running a average of the last five shots and the standard deviation against the string comprising the shots from that fill of the string and I add in the Hammer spring settings so I can see how that evolves.

That's the last 450 shots graphed out all using voice recognition because lazy...

Love the way you did it would you mind sharing the spreadsheet having a beauty and just cost me an awful lot of time and stress it’s all right fill it up by hand and I like with the deep with your spreadsheet. It’s very comprehensive and at the same time it keeps you all thermometers you’ll ever want. Let me know how I can get a copy of it from you

I put the trigger “kit” ( little piece of plastic) in, better but a fine line between setting up 1st stage travel and weight. When you think you got it 10 shots later won’t cock. You can leave the trigger guard on and adjust travel through hole. So just have to take the thin sheet metal piece off back and can adjust easily.
As of now I’ll say again TO ME the only thing this gun can do over the stock Zelos is hold more air.
Theres no reason this will be more accurate ( and for me it’s not) and you can have 2 different caliber zelos for the price of 1 EQ

Well technically the .30 cal version can load, cycle and shoot the 75gr and 78gr griffin boat tail slugs through the magazine! Only gun I know you can do that with 😂😂😂

Okay guys the reg is a fat hog we all know that but the dry fire method works. Set your reg then dry fire A LOT. See where it settles and keep going. I’ve done it a bunch now and even then it either has a slow recharge rate or the gauge itself is just poop. Because on multiple occasions now I’ve shot 5-10 shot strings with an extreme spread of 5fps or less. And that’s with the gauge still being slightly “bouncy.”

Could it be the hammer spring shaking the S*** out of everything? Cuz that thing is a monster.

Anyways I tried out the 52gr javelins and they shoot really well out of the gun at 910-911fps… hit a 3 shot group smaller than a quarter at 78y today, in a light crosswind, using a zip lock filled with rice as a shooting bag balanced on my car door. I wasn’t even trying to group. Just set a long zero haha.

Update:

Put the reg at 2800/2900psi and I’ll attach a pic of where I have the HS… little changes on the HS can give a lot of change so once you see the speed you want fire a few more and see where you’re at. The standard deviation should be tiny when it’s at the right spot.

Anyways with this it’ll should the 52gr Patriot Javelins @ 930fps for 99.89fpe.
