Okay, I blame this on the wife and since she had such fine results with the Katran, why shouldn't I try out that Krait. Well, takes a little time to put things together due to trying to ignore budgets etc. Now the challenge is on, wife's Katran versus husband's Krait. Both are in .22 and have the same Optisan scope setup. Ammo will be CPHPs in both. Have not zeroed yet and also have some thoughts on Airmaks, the wife's Katran, and this Krait. Honestly, I'm a little worried about the head to head competition. 🫣

"Norm" zeroed - okay morning with winds around 5 mph and will have to do. Krait shoots the CPHPs as good as the Katran. Also zeroed my L2 .22 350mm ... semi rocks with both fire and air breathers. It's my B-day today, 53, so taking the family & dog out to Spearfish Canyon SD for the day. Don't know when the competition will happen, but I'm indeed worried. Cheers!

3 Events for Him Krait versus Her Katran Competition



Splatter Target – 13 shots on target best overall group!

Egg Splatter – long distance, best ratio to best splat!

Metal Animals – 13 shots with most cleared sets of those targets!



Shoot from deck and can use supported rest of choice.

All events must be completed by both parties.

Event winner and overall events winner.

Overall event winner gets free meal of choice from looser.



Judges: Son, Daughter, and Mini Aussie (the dog)

Regs been at 105 to 110 bar for ever. If memory serves me right it's shooting 18 grainers at 9!0 for a butt load of shots. I would have to look at my notes for more specifics.

This is a gen 1 and has been a rock solid shooter. I did take the anti double feed out. Bought a Huma reg for it, never needed to put it in. But in all honesty the first one UA sent me had major problems.
