I dug a hole in back yard to bury a pet and was down deep enough 3feet and was into clay. No not hard work I have a lil tractor with a loader. So a little Google work and I made some wild clay. It was made into a slurry then strained through window screen material. Slurry left to settle out some water. Poured slurry into cloth over a 5gallon pail then tied into a ball of muck. A few days later poof have clay. As a shooting media it's kind of fun. I made this clay to test slugs made from Corbin setup....that I haven't gotten yet. But couldn't resist a few shots with 59gr zan at 960fps. Started with 5X5X8 blocks will need to make prolly 10x10x15 for actual testing. Here are a few teaser clips for fun

Holly molly, what distance were you shooting from.

Could of linked that slurry recipe site .. ? In case somone wants to quickly look or save to use. 😉
Was just a 5 gal pail with clay from 3 ft below ground mix with water to disolve. Pour over screen to remove big chunks. Then pour slurry over a big cloth tied to the top of pail let settle and dry till you get how thick you want. There was no site or links just my trial and error. Also made a mixer for the drill a piece of all thread and a crude wood proppeler takes alot of work out of the mixing

Ok i got plenty of red and blue marl here snd tried it out .. just figuring a better solution to makr it more store bought . Sun snd heat here thr rain makes short work of the natural clay for real usage..

Anyways thanks for posting your way ..👍
It started as a project for shooting then the kiddos wanted some next thing you know have lots of buckets trashed and gobs and gobs of clay. Its prolly not the best clay ever but only costs sweat equity and a family project to spend time with my minions
