N/A Big-Power, Big-Bore Air Rifles - Production Air Rifles .30 Caliber and Up

I've been thinking about this topic for a couple of weeks. After reading about various big-power big bores multiple times over a period of years I realized that there have been some new offerings introduced. Sporadic reading over a long period of time makes it challenging to recall details so I decided to start compiling some good information here. I'm looking to compile fact-based information on the topic of big power from production big-bore air rifles. The basis of these facts can be manufacturer stated energy levels supported by links from the manufacturer as well as links to threads and posts with air gun, projectile and chronograph data supporting the claims of power produced. Let me clarify some of the terms that I'm using here:

Production air rifle - A mass-produced air rifle where the stated power can be achieved off-the shelf (tuning included) without adding any parts that do not come with the rifle out of the box.

Big power - An air rifle that produces and unusual amount of energy for its caliber. In the context of this thread this definition is subjective, but parameters are provided below.

I am aware how some people feel about big power in our hobby. I am into big bores and for use in states where I can do a significant amount of legal hunting with them. For this reason, big-power production big-bores interest me. Considering my experiences, more power definitely won’t hurt. I am not interested in discussing air rifles that have to be modified and/or fitted with numerous aftermarket parts to achieve stated power levels. If you want to discuss shot placement, I suggest that you create your own thread on that topic. If you have similar interests and fact-based information to contribute, welcome. I’m anxious to read what you have to share. Please post links to your information. If you make claims without evidence, I will have questions.

I'd like to start by attempting to organize these into categories by caliber. Please try to follow suit with your posts.

.35 Caliber - 215 FPE or more

🔸 RTI Mora 9mm
250 FPE
ZAN 125g slug

Dana, reporting on a hunt with it:
Excellent addition! It's good to have experience and access to others with experience. I would have left the .35/9mm RTI Mora off of the list because I'm not too familiar with these rifles. The Wolfiek Group has them listed as producing up to 300 joules (224 FPE). The manufacturer RTI Arms lists the power output of the 9mm Mora Sniper w/ 28" barrel at 305 Joules/225 FPE. Dana is humming those Zan slugs!! He states his FPE and velocity around the 1:36 mark in the video above. Thank you @JungleShooter for your contribution. This is a good looking candidate with a well thought out design.

After reviewing the Mora specs, the RTI Mora Standard .30 w/24" barrel produces up to 150 FPE.

Seems people aren't very happy with the Netvor's precision so far. This is the one I'd like to get but hoping for better news before I spend my money.
@steve123 I’m glad you mentioned that. I asked a member about his Netvor’s performance at RMAC and crickets. I was looking for the results to see if anyone placed and I didn’t see a thing. I was waiting for AGT to place one in the hands of a hunter and they failed to do so before the last deer season began. As a result, I spent my money elsewhere.Due its specs, it is on this list. I may try a PileDriver one of these days.

I was just out shooting my AEA Challenger standard 24" .357 this morning. It may not be the most powerful production big bore airgun , but it definitely meets the requirements. Shooting some NOE 357-136-HP's weighing between 128 and 129 grains, I got the following average 5 shot strings: 910.4 fps, 901.2 fps, 878.0 fps, 857.1 fps, & 838.6 fps. Using an average 128.5 gr slug weight, energies were 236.5, 231.7, 220.0, 209.6, & 200.7 FPE respectively. This airgun is unregulated and the only thing I've done to it is to add a Hill de-pinger and smooth up the trigger some. AEA gets a bad reputation by some, but I think these Challengers work petty well and have minimal issues. I think I may have gotten one of the last of these this spring as I believe AEA may no longer be making them.
