Beginner with questions

Hello all, this is my first post here so if I’m posting in the wrong section please let me know. I am a total beginner when it comes to refilling air tanks and was hoping that someone might be able to give from step-by-step advice on refilling a tank at home using a compressor. I have filled my rifles both ways before but haven’t had to refill the tank yet and am wondering if it’s possible to do it at home. The tank in question is the 9.0L Airmarksman tank with the upgraded dual gauge valve (from Utah Airguns) and the compressor I would be using would be the original model GX CS-4. I know the tank will take several sessions to fill if it’s possible, but I am unsure of the exact sequence of steps. Also, what if any necessary precautions and safety issues to follow. If anyone is willing to go over the proper procedures step-by-step it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and happy shooting to anyone that reads this.

Welcome to the best A G N ! I know nothing about tanks but others will answer your question and there is always You Tube

I recommend getting a one way valve similar to this one sold by best fittings:

You can also probably make one also using a couple foster fittings. This will prevent back pressure from the tank overloading the compressor if/when you shut it off to cool down. as previously mentioned, the GX Pump CS-4 is rated to fill large tanks, where the smaller compressors are not. But, a smaller can be used if you use the one way valve. You can check out the specs for all the GX Pump compressors on their website. At the moment, the CS-4 is probably the best bang for the buck for a portable compressor!

Welcome to AGN.
Here's my CS4 tank filling setup. You didn't mention wether you're using filtration. I'm filling in 70+% humidity so I've gone overkill.
Anyway, made a one-way male/male foster fitting with fittings off Amazon entering center condolence filter. Valve exiting 3rd filter has bleeder (made this with sourced parts and fittings), so can close it off to retain pressure in the filters and still bleed the line to tank. The Gold fitting into tank had a one-way valve but I removed it so can use to also fill guns with tank (also has it's own bleeder).
Filling tank I'll usually do 30 minute intervals to let compressor and tank cool. However I'm filling in a relatively unconditioned 80f degree room.
The main thing to remember with intervals is that you have to bleed the compressor so you're not restarting it under a load. Which is why my valves to isolate my filters because if you bleed the filters then that's more are refilling them each time. Never completely drain mine, just bleed moisture after use and leave them pressurized like airguns.
This is also a portable set to use at my range.
