I am using the Original Pocket Chrono option, haven't tried the Archery optionSo is everyone leaving the app set to FX Archery Chronograph or changing it to FX Pocket Chronograph? Or does the app even care?
I dont think it matters. People are using both.So is everyone leaving the app set to FX Archery Chronograph or changing it to FX Pocket Chronograph? Or does the app even care?
Yes, with the chrono too close to the barrel.I am getting a lot of missed shots. As many as 6 out of 13.
Anyone else getting missed shots?
That looks a lot more stable than thin zip ties.New chronograph is working. I had a more complicated plan for self-sticking velcro straps, until I saw Ratzy's ziptie solution. So I did this with the velcro:

I'll mess with some other ideas using the magnet, 1/2x20 nuts, and tripods when this storm that's blowing over clears up.

Amazon has it. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09XMVVRH8?th=1That looks a lot more stable than thin zip ties.
Very cool, did you make the piece that attaches to the barrel at right?Amazon has it. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09XMVVRH8?th=1
My original plan was to glue a rare earth magnet onto a piece of that, and wrap that around the barrel for something in that magnet to stick to. But I like your idea better, plus that's self-sticking velcro plus buckles might come in handy.
No, it comes from these guys: https://blackartsdesign.com/ . They do barrel bands for a lot of rifles.Very cool, did you make the piece that attaches to the barrel at right?
Definitely lacks consistency.Beware: if you do the velcro strap thing, get plastic buckles, not metal ones. If you aren't careful you can scratch barrels, shrouds, etc.
I have yet to get consistent shot detection off of a tripod, but strapping it to the barrel works fine.
Using the original FX 1.0 and knowing that it seems more convenient to attach to the rifle/gun, I simply put it atop of a small, flat-ish, full of rice, bag. Setting it just below the rifle's moderator.
It gets great results without any misses or errors as long as it's pointed in the target direction. It it's off kelter, then maybe it won't pick up the shot.
Really, it's in the set up. It also helps to assure that any updates have been performed and that you have strong batteries installed.
