Airgun Technologies I almost screwed up and sold this one…

Yeah, gun-itis is a tough thing to break. I don't sell any of my airguns so there are a number to choose from in assorted cases scattered throughout the house. And yet, I find myself longing for something new and different. Maybe I need an intervention or maybe just more time at the range.

Wow thats a nice one, many of us would love to have a keeper like that.

Congratulations Sir, you are one of the few to discover the inner beauty of these fine pellet guns. How many times have we heard a choked barrel will not shoot slugs? Humm, too many to count. How many times have we been told slugs need to be pushed really fast to fall a sleep? Humm, really? That hasn’t been my experience. You have a real treasure in your hands; come hell or high water I would never part with her.

Unfortunately, the addiction & demand for more power, more shot count, heavy slug shooter’s & most of all long range competition in this country has driven these fine examples of compact pellet hunters to extinction. These, and a handful of other brands & designs like them are cherished by those of us that love to hunt as they offer us, on a multitude of levels, attributes a long rifle cannot. Their compactness, extreme accuracy, zero POI change, rugged build quality, fine craftsmanship, ease & infrequency of maintenance, over all reliability, year after year, speak for themselves. ”These are the facts and nothing but the facts”.

The demand for “Formula One” Slug shooting PCP’s, in a very short time, has brought an end to the very best hunting guns of all time. This is my opinion & I am very much aware of “You know what they say about opinions”. Permit me to make myself clear. AGN is here for all of us to share & learn from one another nothing more nothing less. If you have a different opinion that is fine - should you be looking for a fight or an argument “You will not get one from me”.

Let us, for a moment, take a peek into the past of the 1950’s, 60’s & 70’s regarding the automotive industry. Professional auto racing, both national and international, drove the sports car market. What took the podium on Sunday was incorporated into mainstream on Monday‘s assembly line. The Airgun industry is similar. Hunters are not competitors; they are typically quiet, reserved & of an analytical mind set that prefer‘s simplicity & reliability. In other words “No Podium” which equates to a much smaller market/audience that yields a slimmer profit margin.

Nice rifle. Another brand we will never see up here in Canuckistan. Taipan, AGT, Kalibrgun and I’m sure there are a few more that I’m forgetting. We do get one Edgun model but sure wish we had the R5M .

That’s a beauty. In photography this problem is known as GAS aka gear acquisition syndrome. Unfortunately I am afflicted in both pursuits.

Yep, almost grabbed it off the classifieds, but just have too many Airguns. Wallet versus inventory wasn’t balanced correctl.

I had a Vulcan .25. Was the second generation version. Loved that thing and regret selling it. Out of all the other airguns I have let go that was the one I wish I kept.
