lapses of judgment

Checking the air flow out of a "broken" Crosman pellet pistol. It had enough air in it to do this. I got it from my brother in law who hadn't shot it in years. Always check using a dowel to see if there is a pellet in the chamber.

While plinking out the window with my new Bullshark show a chipmunk under porch of the building. Didn't think of how much lower barrel is at 2 ft verses scope. Pellet hitting storm window frame that close was quite loud. Fortunately no real damage done
