I was after this exact thing. I stumbled across an HPA converted RWS 850 air magnum. I haven’t received it yet but am planning on a big bottle at sub 12 fpe. If I was going to buy new , I think the HM1000 would fit the bill nicely.

Yeah, I get around 90 shots @ 18-19fpe. On the UK forum, they talk about regulating Akelas, and getting 250-300 shots @ 12.benjamin akela in .177 has a relatively high shot count when tuned and it has accuracy as well. for under $300 at airgun revisions, it’s hard to beat.
I’m curious what you’re looking to do with your .177 set up? Needing or I guess wanting the high shot count for other reasons than not having to refill very often. I mean it’s really none of my business and I don’t mean to come across as judging, because I’m seriously not.I have .25 stuff covered well, and I think I have .22 down well enough at the moment (that can always change though, lol). But I’m considering a .177 PCP purely to have something with a high shot count per fill (200+). I realize shot count varies based on the tune, so if it helps I’d be happy with a tun that puts me anywhere from 12fpe up to 16fpe or so. The ability to tune higher would be nice in case things change, but I have lower fpe covered with a few Weihrauch springers. For the sake of this discussion and to keep things simple, let’s keep the tune to the 12-16fpe range.
I’m familiar with and enjoy BRK/Brocock, EdGun, and Taipan, and I’ve read a lot of good things about RTI, AGT, and several others. Those who’ve owned or shot these enough to know, how was the shot count per fill in this tune range? I’m strongly considering an RTI Prophet Performance, but I’m always open to other quality options as long as they net me a higher shot count. Doesn’t matter if it’s a single shot or repeater, if you’ve enjoyed a .177 that let you shoot a 250ct tin (or more) without needing to top up, I wanna hear about it!![]()

I have an Akela .177 and shooting right at 20 ft lbs it good for at least 30 shots, which is a far cry from your desires. I haven’t shot it down to where it really drops off, so maybe it’s 35 shots or maybe it’s 50. It’s an Airgun Revisions tune with Rich’s SSG hammer kit. It’s very consistent on the chronograph for being unregulated.
I just looked at an FX M4 on PA and it’s rated at 375 shots in .177 but that’s top tier pricing. If cost isn’t an issue and I’ll just assume it’s not, there’s also the BRK Atomic that I believe has quite a high shot count. Happy searching.
If you have been in a pest control situation shooting dumb juvenile Starlings or sparrows you might understand the "need" for higher capacity...ooops shall i say higher shot count..Just curious ? Why do people want high shot count guns ? about all you can get in PB's are 10 maybe 25 shot mags . Think i read about a 27 shot Air Rifle mag ? Big round thing sticking out of the sides of the rifle ?
So far I'm really liking my mighty chode. Just the ticket I needed for something scaled down to my Vet .25I'm shooting a u2 .177/600 and still getting over 100 shots right on the cusp of 40FPE
Filling tanks and magazines in the field is a pain....strictly convenienceJust curious ? Why do people want high shot count guns ? about all you can get in PB's are 10 maybe 25 shot mags . Think i read about a 27 shot Air Rifle mag ? Big round thing sticking out of the sides of the rifle ?

Performance / build quality is beautiful. Not as refined as the Vet, but holds it's own (the AGT ping is for real). More than adequate power for what can be expected from such a small caliber.
The plan is to buy enough magazines to pre-load for sessions while zoning out doing something else. Loading in the woods is always more of a challenge (poor light) & those 177s are tiny in comparison. Between sausage fingers and my vision, droppage/ spillage is always a high risk and bummer. Id much rather pick up spilled pellets off of my living room floor carpet than out of forest duff.

Taipan Veteran Standard, first gen.
If you can find one in .177, sure. You're looking at 130-140+ shots per fill if it's around 19fpe, which is plenty of energy for the birds and rabbits you mention.
If you can't find one in .177, a .22 tuned down to the same power level will be just as appropriate for your uses. And about the same shot counts....call it 100 shots per fill. Use pellets in the 13-14grain weight and you're just as safe as a similarly powered .177.
(A "Short" will still get you 85-90 shots per fill @ 19fpe, simply due to he shorter airtube).
And since these are tubed guns, hand pumping is doable.
