FX another month another panthera leak.

Yeah unfortunately we don’t have that luxury here.
It’s classed as a firearm so can’t be shipped. It can’t even be exchanged for another one without about a 3 month wait on the paperwork.
If this was not the case it would have been back to the dealer when it arrived with leaks.
But thanks for your help anyway
sorry

It's hard to see, so it easily gets missed.
Thanks! I’ll check that out as well.
I have the appropriate tool for removing the seat and am as careful as can be, but I’ve had to replace so many random o-rings on it since purchasing it, it could be anything.

My personal fav leak was when it decided to start around the C20 grub screw, but only by about 1 bar a day so it wasn’t audible or even visible under the butt plate 🤣 took me a while to find that one

Well after chatting with Johan at FX who has been absolutely superb, they kindly sent me a “dynamic” repair kit for the Panthera (o-rings, valve seat and valve pin) and fitting the seat and pin seems to have resolved it (will check again tomorrow)

Both the seat and the pin were much tighter on fitting than the old ones were, stupidly I didn’t measure / photograph them, but I can note

1- the valve seat was different from the existing one, the indexing “nubbin” on the back was much more pronounced, but I’m really not sure it actually indexes against anything in the Panthera block.

2- looked like new material on the valve gasket, tan in colour and seemed marginally larger than the old one

This picture didn't come out great, but there is a o-ring, B55 that gets tore up when removing or installing the valve body if your not careful.View attachment 565103

Congratulations sir, you’re our winner this evening.

Even after changing the full valve I was still loosing about 10 bar a day.

Changed this o-ring (not going to lie, it took about 50mins) and now we’re solid 👌

Don't have a Panthera or any other FX, but three days ago I got out my RTI Prophet and saw that it needed topped off, so Filled it and opened the bleed on the compressor and got a constant flow. Pulled the fill hose and the air poored out of the foster fitting. The first leak in the three years I have owned it, so no sweat, just set it aside and deal with it later.
I still wanted to shoot, so out comes the Talon P
Topped it off, opend the bleed valve, and a constant flow of air instead of the usual pssst. Diconnected and yup all the air in the bottle dumped. Two leaking Foster fittings in a row. What are the odds?

Both fixed now, but leaks are just part of this game. Just glad I have two complete oring sets for all of my guns.
