And double thanks for answering my questions on Facebook: I sincerely thought i also posted those questions here as well , so I grew a little impatient after a few days and asked them again on facebook.... And you were so kind as to answer them swiftly. They concerned the initial setting of the IHS adjuster, and they are well answered here now.

Now I see I somehow miserably failed to post them here, my bad totally!! I apologise, and thanks again for the great work!!

I just finished watching your magnum opus on tuning the maverick and wow… Thanks for the details and deep dive on how to go about getting the most out of the platform.

I’m currently awaiting the arrival of my maverick VP and wondering if these pro tunes with equate more to the pellet/slug weight or does it need to be modified to suit the gun?

Thanks Steve for this commitment and follow through. One quick question; (famous last words). Do you think it would be as simple as splitting the differences when it comes to the Maverick VP and regulator tuning? I’ve been struggling to get this to all come together with the 600 mm barrel.

Anything you could offer would be tremendously appreciated.

What cal do you have and what are you trying to do I have .30 & .25 in 600mm I usually leave the first reg at 150 and the second from 110 to 125

The gist of it you can.
But I too would have liked it in .22 .
No interest in "maximum power" etc, just embrace the high BC of .22 for long range shooting.

Thanks for all the info Steve. Good stuff! I too would be interested in figuring out a way to translate your .25 tunes to .22 for the .22 version of the same slugs (FX Hybrids for example). Any suggestions?

I’m sorry for asking this question but on your charts, which ports are you using P or S, I assume since your picture shows the slug port that’s it just wanting to make sure

Thanks for such a great tutorial in writing, I find it helps to.print and put on paper a list.
I'm in the uk.and I'm sure you know to.stsrt with rifles are set to.a very low power till you get a gun licence which at last iv got.
Iv had a .22 maverick 500mm.
Iv now got a .30 sniper barrel change kit .
Can you or somone please list what other things I need to change .
I'm fairly sure I know but I'd like someone else's opinion after doing a change from.a pellets 50-100 yard rifle to a 200 yard larger. 30 slug rifle.
I'm useing huma as my main shop to buy items so if a list can be given of items from there it will be a big help .
I'm a little confused about the hammer wheel as I'm not to sure if mine even has been working.

This might sound stupid but should number 2 be at the bottom as the first setting, also should the wheel stop turning once it gets to number 7 is it .
Mine just turns around and around which seems wrong to me ??.

Iv got to not I brought this rife second hand at a bargin purely as I know it's a great rife to work on and learn from.

Regarding regulator settings. Can you advise on a good starting point with .30 slugs .
I do now have an fx chronograph just purchased so I'm sure it will help but some advice from someone with experience would be a great help . Videos are only so much help and you need to k ow what help you need first .
