Daystate Blackwolf owners discussion

I'm just switching to the blue spring right now, in fact. I had a bit of an adventure because the white spring came out without the white plastic bit! Fortunately I had a slim tool with a hook on the end so I could eventually fish it out. I'm lucky, because it was lodged in there well enough to not shake out!

Let this be a lesson to everyone, make sure your spring indicators are nice and centered, I guess.

I couldn't switch back to white fast enough.

I was getting a spread of 10-20 fps with the blue spring, where the white was closer to 100. Red and blue seemed almost the same to me, to the point where I wonder if someone screwed up in the factory.

White won't get me above 945 fps but the sweet spot for my pellets is 920 anyway, so I'm good.

Did you drop reg to 100 when you tried the spring? I just set up 1 of my ghosts in 22 its at 130 bar pw 15 red spring 23” barrel 960 fps for 25.3 gr pw on min 880fps. 1023 with 18 gr on min i would have to go blue spring to get the 18 velocity down

Yep, I did just that, dropped it to 100. The starting spread was around 20 and it got tighter as I increased the regulator.
Oh well seems the ports are just too large on the blackwolf and you have to really go to the extreme to use less than max power. Not only is it expensive they made it so its not as tunable as the ghost.
