A couple of hours this afternoon confirming the setup and accuracy of my Daystate BlackWolf TAC .177 HP with the VoluMax extended plenum added 👍😃🎯

Pushing JSB KO 13.43 gr at 1003 FPS and 30 FPE with only 95 bar on the Huma regulator!

Got the red spring installed 👍

Your getting that velocity with a white spring? Still 140 bar? If you have a blue spring you might be able to go to 110-120 bar save some air and possibly get same velocity

Yeah, I'm going to try out the red spring tomorrow. I don't think the white can push it much past 930-940 at max, regardless of the regulator. I was getting around 920 @ 18/125 and the same 920 range at 18/150.

I want to max out around 950 and still be around the 840s at min, ideally. My goal is to play with different weight pellets and not have to change the regulator.

Nope white blue red. Put the blue i start at 100 bar and 17 pw shoot the 25gr and bump up 5 bar at a time till you get 950. Then see what it goes down to thats the best difference you’ll get with the 25 gr going 950 if you want to shoot 18or 20 gr and can’t get low enough well you wont be able to keep the 25 at 950 you have to be satisfied with 900 or so

I switched my cocking lever from right to left, just to try it out. I got really scared when I tried it afterwards, because it was really stiff and not smooth. I backed off the screw a little and it went back to perfect.

So, PSA, don't over torque the cocking lever pivot screw.

Related question, what's a good lube for this application (metal on metal)? And has anyone found torque specs for this gun?

Doubt you will find torque specs anywhere but its best to try not to over tighten especially the barrel screws as you can actually push a dent in the barrel! I just put a light film of grease on the pivot bush and where it slides

My barrel came with slight screw marks from the factory... At least they help me align it properly when reinstalling it.

What kind of grease do you use?

I'm just switching to the blue spring right now, in fact. I had a bit of an adventure because the white spring came out without the white plastic bit! Fortunately I had a slim tool with a hook on the end so I could eventually fish it out. I'm lucky, because it was lodged in there well enough to not shake out!

Let this be a lesson to everyone, make sure your spring indicators are nice and centered, I guess.
