The Relationship Between Theoben and RAW Airguns

I followed this story pretty close when RAW was sold to AFAG as I really like both companies. Both very different companies at the time so interesting that they merged. At the time RAW wasn’t having financial problems they were having production problems. Rutterford and his well trained Airgun artists just couldn’t keep up with demand and the long days just got to be too much. plus the beautiful RAW stocks were made by another company, don’t remember who off the top of my head, but they were also way behind in production. Selling to AFAG allowed Martin to step back and still tune, repair and rebuild his RAW Airguns but at his pace on a much smaller scale, which allowed him to enjoy the business again. And be more involved with the customer which many here have mentioned. At least this is what was told to hobbyists by AFAG after merger. Also read that AFAG hired almost all RAWS craftsman to continue building these fantastic rifles.
