Lightest .177 pellets?

I think for lead it's the RWS Hobbies.

Looks like Gamo Platinum PTA at 5.1 grams if you consider lead free options. RWS Hobbies for lead as recommended prior by Shuggoth.

There have been some plastic outer / sabot cored hybrids made by SKENCO that ran about 4 grains or so.
Made In Hungary, tho no idea if or not there still available ?

Now are the leader at 4.7 grains.

The JSB RS 7.33's are my go to light pellet. Can also get them in 4.52 head size from Air Arms. They work in pistols and rifles with very good accuracy.

I was given a sample of these years ago by a friend and I've kept them as a curiosity.

Evidently he picked them up on one of his business trips, don't know where he got them and have never seen them for sale.

I tried one (and only one) in my FWB124 and it was like dry-firing the gun

Testing in lower power springers found them to be substantially less accurate than regular pellets.

The negative experience with these composite pellets has made me dubious (perhaps unreasonably so) of all the fancy two-part offerings (like Predators) on the market. Some people swear by the Predators (and similar offerings) but I can't see any performance benefits over the much less expensive standard lead pellets. Maybe you can comment on them.

They had @ 4 versions as I recall. The sabot style / weight changed with differing designs they offered.
Those are sorta similar, but the skirt tail / sealing band of those shown above are different.
The SKENCO offering looked a lot better quality wise having no obvious parting line / cast / extrusion artifacts.
