Usft vs RAW HM/TM1000 ???

Unless Martin builds it or some other custom shop, you can’t get an “x.” In .177. Is the HM1000 still being made? I used to have one in my younger years when I shot HFT and it was/is the best rifle I’ve ever owned among many.
You can contact RAW and ask them to build an HM1000 in.177.

A little more food for the thought process.... At the Nevada State GP, in Hunter class, Randy E shooting a 18 yr old USFT tube gun and a 6-24x50 Athlon Heras, scored 13 points higher than the second place which was Scott (motorhead) with his custom RAW, and I was 1 point behind him with my USFT. All three of us experienced competitors. He also shot the overall high score.

The slow poly barrels when prepped well, have a really great BC with the JSB / Air Arms 10.34s allowing a much better performance in the wind. The USFT can be set up to fit you if you put the time in and have the parts. The canted barrel block can be switched out or reversed from lefty to righty. We have a lot of used parts, we might be able to help you get it set up to fit you as it should.... Or buy it if you choose a RAW, you can;t go wrong with either one if it fits you well so you aren't pulling your shots with the best "follow through", you can muster.

I just need to find an hm1000 and see how those shoot.

The USFT is a cool rifle for sure, but the loading is a little to weird for me. Rifle shoots great, and hopefully I will see how well in July at a match.
Having owned 3 different usft and five different HM/TM1000’s and three different thomas rifles, the reality of my choice has come down to developing a well rehearsed routine. This also requires a degree of commitment to the platform or lots of practice-same thing.
The usft like the thomas are more fiddly for me loading while in the sticks; but so is my TM1000. It’s hard to beat the simplicity of a flip out single shot loader, especially when fiddling with.177 pellets and you are on the clock, but these are not options with the TM or USFT or Thomas… so it’s a trade off… accuracy or simplicity in handling And loading. Then there is the weight to balance issues - utopia in an Airgun? Finding what works for you is part of the game. Nothing to date is more accurate than my Thomas, but, nothing is easier to load and handle than my Redwolf with a SSL.
