Where could I find a fill valve replacement for my GSL30? Or, where could I find [locally: Mayville, Michigan] the o'ring that fits the valve piston?
Yes sir! I, also, have a bi-pod foregrip for it! Also, M-Lok quick release strap. I did a trigger adjustment and hammer spring tune- that's it. I just took a groundhog, yesterday, at 75 yards with red-dot sight! Love this rifle! Always, been a 30 cal fan regardless of Rimfire or Airpower! How do you like yours?I just got a Gsl30.Is that buck rail furniture you have on there?looks nice![]()
Need o'ring for fill valve. Any idea of who sells them?I just got a Gsl30.Is that buck rail furniture you have on there?looks nice![]()
Thanks for the link! I think Hajimoto productions sells the ninja o' ring, also. Yeah, it's the o'ring on the bottom of the piston. I will just buy from your link. Thank you.If your Gauntlet SL30 is wearing the mini fill nipple common for the Ninja regulator, I believe the internal O-ring is a #006 in PUR90. You could look at a paintball shop on the Internet and search for either a fill nipple or just look here for the O-rings: https://www.oringsandmore.com/ureth...imum-4-pcs/?searchid=2288809&search_query=006
I’m sure Hagimoto does.My local airgun shop (palm beach airguns) has been able to handle all my airgun issues so far.Need o'ring for fill valve. Any idea of who sells them?
Thanks. I ordered a new Foster Valve from Amazon.I’m sure Hagimoto does.My local airgun shop (palm beach airguns) has been able to handle all my airgun issues so far.
Definitely. I love it.Yeah that looks nice and i would imagine lighter!I’m going to order that right now.thx
Yeah, the base platform of the GSL30 was too bulky and not ergonomic at all. I bought the tactical bucktail set-up from Hajimoto productions to overcome its deficiency in that department. Hajimoto productions, also, offers barrel shortening services, amount other services. I modified the trigger. It's about an 8 ounce trigger now. H.P. offers a two-stage trigger for the GSL30, also. I think this would be a great enhancement. The over all performance of the rifle is outstanding. I adjusted the hammer spring to compensate for the weight of the special made 56 grain rounds she is pumping through her. I left the regulator and bottle stock but added a barrel ring. With the small improvements I've rendered to the rifle, I've got a profession grade rifle at a budget price. GSL30's performance is remarkable. I have done hole in hole shots, using 56 grain slugs [GSL30 shoots 30 cal pellets, also]. I have, also, bench rested this rifle and hit bullseye [with a vortex 4-16 x 30 scope], with no problems, and achieved hard "Pass-threw" at 300 yards. This rifle likes to be modded and adjusted. It responds to small adjustments.Yeah that looks nice and i would imagine lighter!I’m going to order that right now.thx
Yes. The barrel ring prevents the independent movement of the bottle from the air rifle and therefore reduces target acquisition problems and creates greater accuracy for the shooter. I think that the little bottle ring modification drastically improved shot accuracy by a good 50 % for me, anyway. With regards to the Gauntlet SL30 platform, I removed that with a star bit and Allen wrench. There are five "screws" holding the platform on. The installation of the Hajimoto productions "buck rail" platform [m-lok platform], was straight forward. In fact, the bucktail platform comes step by step instructions for installation. The only issue I had with the bucktail installation was the unique way the platform fastener for the rear installation of the platform went through the air rifle grip. However, the whole platform was a breeze to install. Moreover, once you have removed the old stock platform from the GSL30, the trigger is exposed. You simply remove the trigger cover screws and can adjust the trigger and the over-pull stop there. There are many videos on how to effectuate the trigger adjustment. However, if you have experience with doing this type of trigger mod on a Rimfire rifle, those skills are transferable on GSL30.thanks for posting this.
In your experience does a barrel ring help with accuracy or reproducibility of shots?
also interested in learning more of how you modified the platform, the trigger enhancement for example.
thank you
My pleasure. Please let me know any little tricks or mods , you come up with, and keep me in the loop, also! Thank you for your time, also.thank you
this is my first foray into air rifle having shot action pistol sports as well as long range rifle for many years.
I've so much to learn about this new faculty.
In general, for our precision rifles, we usually tried to maintain the barrel free floating...there are of course some exceptions. Of course the rifles we employed did not have an integral air bottle to secure.
appreciate your taking the time to respond.
Oh, one more thing, the barrel ring is a great stability component as well. The ring makes the GSL30 more rugged and durable. I dropped my rifle one time and if the barrel band was not on the rifle, there would have been a good possibility that my bottle would have been severely damaged. Instead, I ended up with two scratches.thanks for posting this.
