Bit of a cleaning hack

I’ve used patchworm cleaning kits in my 10/22 for a while now so when I ordered an avenge-x in 177 it was just natural to clean the barrel the same way. I tried putting the line in through the barrel to pull through and was stopped by the internal baffles. Grabbed a plastic straw worked it through the baffles, pushed the patchworm in, pushed in far enough to get through the straw, pulled the straw out and voila the line came though no issues.
hope this helps somebody.

Good info to pass along.
I purchased a 4 mm hollow tube (brass) on amazon for cleaning my .177's and now i have a permanent straw in my cleaning kit. You can use larger dia. tubes for the bigger calibers.

Yup, straws in the kit are handy to have for guiding cleaning rods or screws.

Different straw sizes/types are available so I always pick up an extra or two when patronizing various fast food eating establishments.

Coffee stir-sticks are also good for smearing grease in hard to reach locations and the small diameter tubes make good pipettes for applying small amounts of oil.

Cheers!
