AEA question about where to mount my gun on a death grip tripod since there is nowhere to grip the gun safely?

not sure if this is right place for me to post this question but anyway i own a 22 inch megalodon 58 cal and i want to buy this death grip tripod for shooting and bore sighting my rifle but im noticing that on this gun there is no good place to mount the death grip

the middle area where i would want to put the grip is where the gauge is at and there is tank at both ends and i dont want to clamp to a tank with the recoil of shooting, there is a small rail mounted on the bottom maybe there is something i could mount to that rail and then attach the grip to that mount, does anyone have any suggestions for where or how to mount this gun ? thanks

or should i get a different tripod and adapter that mounts to a Picatinny rail without a deathgrip, like normal quick release tripod head ?

I’ve got the BOG Death Grip mounted to my Primos gen 3 trigger sticks and I have the same issue you have; I cannot tighten the death grip at the spot I need to because the rifles gauges are right where the gun would need to sit and be crushed by the grip, so I just use it as a a rifle support mechanism, which works fine. My gun is the BRK Ghost. Wish I could find something though that could hold the rifle freehanded though as I pause now and then during my ratting.

just to update everyone this is what i ended up buying for 20$ on amazon and works with a 50$ tripod i already had, it would probably be smart to mount it to a more solid tripod but it does work and sometimes i just rest it on the tripod sometimes i mount it and leave it there for a while but i dont like leaving it unattended like that on this tripod
