Huma Regulator xxl question

Huma in their instructions say they include a M3 screw that would go into the top. People tie fishing line to it so they can retrieve it and tune it.

Mine didn’t come with one and when I inquired huma said they’re outdated directions and the screw is already installed. I don’t know what they mean already but do you guys know if it’s safe to put a screw on the top now?

Use the end of a cleaning brush. Same Pitch. (.22 or larger) .177 can have an M2

The grub screw is inside the brass piece, to remove it you need a 2mm allen.

This is what I’m referencing. I guess maybe I don’t understand. I just want a way to pull it out if I want to adjust the pressure settings

Ohhh okay. Hmm, what gun is it going in? This would probably be of better use. Just make sure to put some kind of rubber to not scratch the regulator shaft if you are worried about that

I adjust my marauder pistol reg inside the tube with a long screwdriver I made from an arrow shaft. It would take a lot longer one for MRod but I’d try to make something if it was me. Risk tearing a oring if you take your reg out a bunch during tuning. I also mark lines on top of reg so I can see setting inside tube.
I had an m3 so I said wth let me just try. Tied some fishing line to it and screwed it in, when it stopped reversed one full turn. Works like a charm, I can use pliers to pull the fishing line up, adjust the regulator before the threads of the rsservoir, and then push it back down with a ½” pvc.

I’m dying though, Ive disassembled this gun probably 5 times in a week and shot 500-1000+ shots, all hand pumped lol.

Good thinking. I’ve been tuning my PRod for weeks. Try not to let the obsession get the best of you lol. I would not want to being tuning with a hand pump. Especially pumping from completely empty. Start saving for a gx compressor. You’ll be so happy you did. Good luck and have fun
