Regarding hand powered air pumps/compressors, what's your favorite in your well experienced opinions?

Any Chinese brand under $50 should serve well. Big dollar ones will work but if you, like many of us, find handpumping isn't for you, best to have a $50 one in closet, than $300 one. WM

At 69 years of age, hand pumping is not something I want to do by any stretch. There are a couple of Chinese hand pumps in the closet - just in case. No need to spend a large sum on a hand pump as they are all basically the same.

Air venturi g7s. I use it every single day and usually multiple times per day. It was gifted to me by an amazing AGN member. I have never used any of the inexpensive pumps,or a compressor, but I have read about the complaints and issues that have been posted. My pump is efficient 1pump=1bar. It's takes me about 7-8 minutes to go from 100bar to 200bar. Taking approximately 100 pumps stopping at 50 for about a minute and then continuing on until full. It doesn't get hot and it doesn't need antifreeze or water inside to keep it cool. So they might be similar but not exactly equal imo.

Thanks everyone! I've been pondering the pumps with the built in air dryer. Not sure if that's really something that matters in this application. I've also been looking at either an electric compressor, or snagging a 6,000psi nitrogen bottle and regulator. That should last for a few years!

Pre-pump desiccant bead air dryers are a sales gimmick, moisture removal treatment of compressed air is more efficient. Search, "GX-CS," and "Yong Heng," in upper right page corner for information on popular, budget compressors. WM

If you mean one full tank of 6,000psi of Nitrogen will last a few years (without refilling) you'll be surprised at how wrong you are. If you'd be getting it refilled, that's another story.

It would be interesting to see how many shots that would produce before dropping below 4,500psi.
