Are Taipans difficult to resell?

Absolutely not, even harder to reacquire. Love those early ones ... no experience with the Vet II's.

No, sold 2 years ago and sold in 1 day, and even had multiple offers. Maybe just because it was customized by me, has a gauge on the extended Plenum full lenght CF shroud and has a 600mm .22 FX STX barrel

If asking a ridiculous price, yes.
Most in the $950-1250 range seem to go fast. That range is based on urgency to sell, accessories, and/or how beat up they are.
The ones where guys are asking $1400 or more
are the adds that get renewed forever. That's more than many of us paid for them brand new.Upvote 0

True. I put my .25 Standard in a grey laminate stock in excellent condition up on 2 sites, here and AGW, at $950 shipped. Not even one inquiry so I decided to keep it.

Had to be timing. I think I saw it and figured it would sell before renew time. I have a Taipan and it’s the second oldest survivor in my airgun collection. But they are not a $1k+ used gun. But they are a great used gun as long as it didn’t get abused chasing big power.

I think the OG Gen1 versions sell quickly if priced right, the GenII dont seem to move as fast.

Taipan is not as big a brand as others. Their reputation is earned through ownership. They may also suffer from not having the snazzy design by opinion. those that like them, love them. I rarely heard anyone complain about performance. However, used ones have to be priced accordingly.

I sold 3 in the past year, took less than 2 weeks. ones hanging around are priced too high.

I believe a few members have mentioned that they probably listed them at a much higher value, only because their wives are likely trying to force them to sell lol.

In Canada I think they're Prohibited Weapons, just like an anti-aircraft gun. So yeah they're hard to resell.
