Cameron Kerndt Takes Gold in Long-Range at Oregon Competition

We’re thrilled to announce that AirForce & RAW team shooter Cameron Kerndt secured a Gold Medal this past weekend at the Ashland, Oregon Benchrest, EFT, and Long-Range Shoot.

He delivered an incredible performance in the long-range competition, earning top honors against a strong field. Targets were placed at challenging distances of 140, 167, 187, 249, and 298 yards.

John McCaslin, President and owner of Rapid Air Worx and AirForce Airguns said “More and more shooters are taking advantage of RAW’s ‘out of the box’ accuracy and consistency that provides a great starting point to keep pushing the performance envelope“.

“This RAW is extraordinarily docile and makes power extremely easily,” Cameron shared. “It’s incredibly efficient, quiet, and deadly accurate at distance.”

Cameron’s performance is a true testament to his precision, dedication, and mastery of long-range shooting. We’re proud to have him on the team and can’t wait to see what he achieves next!

Congratulations, Cameron!

Those @Altaros slugs are truly state of the art. I don’t think in the 100Y BR Slug anyone was using anything else. Even the shooters that gushed and posted just how great the new ZAN ELRs are decided to jump on the Altaros bandwagon. Simply the BEST. ‘Nuff said. 😎
ZAN ELR - nope
Corbin - nope
H&N - nope
Altaros - yep! ✅

Congratulations… I know how difficult it can be to hit targets at varying distances, but I’m a little confused and hope you can help. All shots are under 300 yards and they call this long distance? What am I missing?

This is with a AIR GUN using compressed air under 3000 psi .... Not burning powder at 40,000+ psi
Yes for an Air gun and in a competitive format .. yea it is way the hell out there !!!

I'll wager 100 bucks on Cameron and his "BB gun" against anyone with 22LR setup at 300 yards.

:) yeah if you shoot at a Oil drum.
But if you shoot for the center of a 5" target it is a whole other ballgame.

As i kid i shot 200 Meter with iron sights, the targets was huge like 27" bicycle wheels. but with iron sights it was far in between X shots.
Okay once i made 3 X in a row during my 5 warm up shots, the then national champion commented on that from the next lane over to my right,,,,, and i completely fell apart, i think worst series i ever shot on 200 M.
Going back through my abused memory goop, i think the 200 M papers was like 1 X 1 M or 1000 X 1000 mm for the actual paper, but the black dot pretty damn big up close when you come from 15 & 50 M rimfire.

I feel when i shoot at flies, 100 - 130 yards feel really far away.
If i shoot at a tennis ball, well not even a challenge.

Now I’m confused. What is your point? Is this to imply that it was “easy”, or maybe you could do much better? Cool. We’ll see you next year to walk the walk. 😎
I’m not saying I can do better… just that 300 is NOT long distance with a modern PCP. At 400 things get interesting, and we frequently shoot out to 600yds. I’d love to attend one of these competitions, but it’s hard to get time off, so not practical. I was barely able to pull off the ranch hunt with Mr. Hollow Point and Ted Nugent. But you never know where I’ll show up next. lol

Are you limited to 3000 psi per competition rules, or is that simply were your rifle is tuned for best accuracy? If for some reason, the competition is limiting you too 3000 psi, that rules me out, way out! I’m running 4700 psi.
