QYS Pellets - bad quality control or bad tin?

I've heard good things about QYS pellets, so I bought a tin of .177 Domed 8.48 grains to try them out. As soon as I opened the can I noticed a lot of damaged skirts. Some were damaged a lot, like the top pellet in the photo below, and others were slightly damaged, like the bottom pellet. I'd say one out of every three pellets have skirts with visible imperfections. Is this typical for QYS pellets, or did I just buy a bad tin?

Any chance you ordered them off of amazon?

Buying pellets from amazon is for emergencies only. If you can get one of those "OVERNIGHT Between 4-8am or 7-11am or 10-3pm type deals when they send a private contactor who drives their own vehicle to deliver then do that, but normal amazon or prime, they pack them very poorly and many of the drivers just throw your package or lay the bubble wrap bag under a tone of items in tote or under a mountain of boxes in the truck, to be bounced around, bumped, crushed, tossed for hours. QYS pellets have been fantastic every time i've tried.. Admittedly i've only tried the 8.48, 9.65gr .177s a few times. but always fantastic.

As a matter of fact...

I thought the damaged pellets probably occurred in transit. But, since I only bought one tin, there was no way of knowing if it was representative of the quality unless I gambled on another tin OR I heard back from someone like yourself who hasn't had any problems with QYS. So, thank you very much for the response. :)(y)

Amazon does not properly package pellets for shipment. They get thrown into a padded envelope and go on their way. That is at least the way mine have come. But I've typically gotten very usable pellets from them including from dented tins. I shot as well on 30 yard challenge targets with a dented tin from Amazon as I did with a pristine tin from Pyramyd. So I don't think even a dented tin is a sure sign of junk pellets. But I also ordered a JSB 22 caliber assortment tin from Amazon 3 or 4 times before getting one with pellets that did not look mangled. They will take almost anything back. I'd send those CYS pellets back. I haven't shot any of that brand but those pellets don't look right.
