So the higher the regulator pressure is the more pressure it has closing the valve.... So you have to increase the hammer Spring tension when the reg is turned up. So it will have enough power to open the valve. You want to increase the hammer Spring tension until it no longer has an effect, Then back it off and decrease the regulator a little bit. If you go back-and-forth like that you should be able to raise your velocity. The heavier Spring will allow you to have higher regulator pressures because we'll have enough strength to open the valve at that high pressure. Having a high regulator pressure and a low hammer Spring is literally impossible. It won't open the valve.I'm shooting 440gr .217 on my M4 700mm with all necessary stuff for slugs except i haven't installed humaniar hammer spring......... What's better have high regulator pressure and low hammer spring tension or low reg pressure and higher hammer spring???? What's effects does it have? Accuracy affected? Fps? More or less air consumption? Shot sounds higher or lower?
