FX FX Maverick rebuild.

I picked this .22 Maverick sniper up off the AOA used page a few weeks ago. They listed it as being a bit challenged in the looks and function areas but it was priced reasonable.

It came with a K&L lower rail, a DonnyFL, a Bloodhound 3-9 and a slug pin prob and heavy hammer weight. It came with the barrel on the slug port and with 14.3 Crosmans it was doing 1,150 fps for mid 40’s ftlbs. Clearly not what it was tooled for but all I had in .22. What a crack they made. But surprised me that the four shots a tools all smashed into the same spot at 27 yards.

It also had a coating of bed liner, a few scratches and unfortunately one spot of rust. It also had a good layer of dirt just to add to the patina. It did have air and seemed to hold until I adjusted the reg then the old orings let go with a quickness.

Fortunately all the dirt and bedliner came right off and revealed a mostly perfect rifle other than the few scratches and the spot of rust that I just removed and polished the area. Figured it was a good opportunity to add shiny bits of carbon fiber sleeves. On top of the outside I added the carbon fiber stiffening sleeve to the barrel liner. If I’m going to be impotent I might as well look impotent.🤣

It is all back to other than regulators. Waiting on parts. and want to give a huge shout out to Utah for hooking me up on the regulators and other parts. Cant say thanks to them enough.

Before shots.
