Hello everyone I'm new here and I wanted to ask if anyone has good results using the jsb match disable Hades (middle pellet). The fall In easy into the breach of my gun and arnt tight. While the copper magnum on the right does. I guess my gun likes longer pellets since it groups the magnums better ? I haven't used the poly mags on the left yet. Any recommendations on new pellets in .177 are much appreciated

Hello and welcome to AGN. This is hands down the best forum for airgun enthusiasts. Well your question is probably going to get lots of answers and lots of good suggestions. But it's not as simple as taking the recommendations and then start hitting bullseye. You must test. In my AT44 177 I'm getting my best results from CPHP 9.7,CP piranha 10.5,jsb monsters 13.43 and apollo 9.0 round and pointed. I hope you find a few that work well for you. I was lucky enough to have a member send me a sample package of lead that had worked well in his AT44 177.

Hope you have a good day and again welcome and thanks for joining the best airgun forum

@coolman9816 - Welcome to Airgun Nation. There is a lot of good information here. Avoid pellets that fit in the breech loosely. Try and use lead pellets, they work the best in 99% of rifles.

For .177, the most common weight is right around 8 to 10 grains. Try Crosman, JSB, H&N's.

For example, these work very well in most rifles.

I have found hades to perform very well out of fx pellet liners and the avenger I had. The avenger needed to be turned down to about 850 fps for them to work well. The only barrel for me that hasn’t really liked them is my delta wolf barrel. It isn’t horrible but there are plenty of options in that price category that work a lot better.

I have never found a particular trend about what pellets a gun will shoot best (unless it was tuned and the tuner is telling me which pellet it was tuned on). So the answer is to just test everything you can afford to test on.

Oh there is another exception: I stick with the recommended weights for springers because you don’t want to break springs or bounce the piston too hard. So there I test all I can while staying in that weight range.

What would you recommend as the heaviest pellet to shoot in a HW77 long 13.6 FPE when shooting 13 .? grain .22 pellets ?
