Lol..the first thing i thought of when i saw the title was collecting cardboard
Glad to see i am not the only one roaming the alley's looking for big boxes

If you can...take apart the rifle to ship ...The longer the length of the box, the more you will pay.
try removing the stock to shorten it up

The backstop fridge we have at 100 Y, when we take that to recycling i am so going to be there CUZ i want to see the people at the recycling yard in the face when we show them the extremely shot up piece of metal.
Normally these get put aside to remove gasses in them, not sure they would bother with ours, but TBH i have never seen it emit anything after a shot, if there is still gas it it, i think it is a wonder.

I am an Automotive Service Manager and all my techs know I shoot when the weather is good. So when decent "Target" size parts boxes are emptied, they bring them to me before taking them to the dumpster anymore....they know I stockpile the hell out of some decent sized boxes! Lol... They know I LOVE Radiator, AC Condenser, and Control Arm Boxes......Sometimes I take old radiators and condensers home, shoot the hell out of them and take them back for the scrap metal bin.....I have an almost endless supply of "targets" at work....
