FX In search of 215 ft lb from FX impact M4 .35

Considering FX is listing the max output at 156 fpe (and that's with max everything) I'd say you choose wrong.

9,00 (.35: up to 211 J – 156 ft/lbsNote: above figures are maximum FAC Power output using slug ammunition, slug powerkit and 800mm barrel.

I've been down that road and made 200 ft lbs with modifications. I felt that it was being pushed past it's limits so I put that 800mm barrel in my Panthera and was able to make 215 ft lbs with 108 grain NSA slugs which I felt was right at it's maximum for power for the gun and bullet combo. I did take 4 whitetail with it last year but the panthera was too long with a Donny emperor on it so I now have a 357 bulldog I am working on.

Thank you everyone for your input. I’m new to owning an Impact M4 in 35. I just got it From the guys over at Utah Airgun. Kenny was amazing at helping me.

I wasn’t sure if the M4 was capable of 1000fps with 100gr slugs. If not that’s fine. I’ll use it for pigs, coyotes, and fox.

Once again, thanks

On an M3 357 I was able to get 93 grain nsa around 930-940ish with 800mm tensioned slug barrel, tungsten hammer, huma high flow port and probe.

My mora 357 will push 125 grain Zans over 950 with no extra parts and it is accurate with them. I have turned it down some for 112grain Zans, I got a dillo the other night at 143 yards. It’s my longest night shot.

Put in slug, in some WD40, close breach and keep your face away from it. Might be good for one shot....or not.

Not sure what you mean by fishing. I’m new to the forum and owning a M4. It was a legit question!

Consider dumping the Impact, grab a Benjamin Bulldog M357 or M457, and problem solved. You’d be good to go out of the box.

check out this thread for specifics. I’m also in Texas. https://www.airgunnation.com/threads/benjamin-bulldog-m357-impression.1295660/

here’s a Bulldog resource thread

I was hoping to be able to hunt deer with the M4 in .35 because of the challenge of using an 100 gr slug. I’ve had my M3 in .30 for a couple of years and it’s amazing. I may have to stick to killing small stuff with them and use my Quackenbush for deer.
@akhuntr I’ve used the Bulldog shooting 110 grain slugs for small to medium sized deer in Texas. Works for me. I hope you find something that meets the minimum criteria.

I too am in Texas, and I can tell you it will kill deer and pigs in factory form.
