I put a few different scopes on my CMP rifle.
That was a Veyron 10x. The high adjustable rings allow for minimal scope adjustment.

I have to shoot across the finished part into the mechanical room but it works for me. Probably going to be moving soon. I probably won’t be this lucky again.

I have no interest in scoping my 10 meter rifle because all I do is shoot 10 meter targets with it. That said, 10 meter sights are pretty much useless for anything except 10 meter targets. The sights limit the field of view to the point that it is difficult to find let’s say a chipmunk that needs to be dispatched. Damn, maybe I do need another with a scope. You guys are really hard on my wallet!

i have 7 yards in the basement and shoot through the throat of my band saw . Band saw is apx. the mid point in the range .

I would love to expand the usability of that Feinwerkbau.You don't need a scope - just need an eyepiece that lets you adjust the rear sight's aperture size to fit the real world outside of a well-lit 10-meter range. Then you will discover how marvelously accurate and versatile such precise sights really are.

Can you see the edge of a playing card or maybe a fly or similar very small targets at 50 feet or more? That’s where the scope makes my 10 meter rifle more versatile. The MIN focal distance on my scope is 25 meters, so not shooting anything closer than that, well at least not without swapping out the scope.

You don’t necessarily need a high dollar scope on your 10M rifle. I put a Mueller 8-32 target dot scope on my FWB300S and shoot 25M BR very effectively with JSB 7.87 pellets. This scope runs around $250.

Yep. Adjustable iris. I also have one with the 1.5x diopter and color filters. Honestly it gets a bit fiddley, but color contrast outdoors at different times of the year with different color backgrounds and light conditions does help some. I recently got a Gehmann 522 adjustable front sight iris, mine adjusts from 2.4 to 4.4mm others differ and go up to 7mm max.
