Hunting with maximum/expanding pellets /slugs

Here's a .25 crow mag shot out of a gk1, recovered after some time reducing the zucchini population in the yard. These provide good expansion at airgun powers it seems

Doing god's work... seems like there're more of these damn things every summer.


Can't believe I found another pellet on the ground near the zucchini... they just kind of plop down after passing through I guess (for the lengthwise shots).

I will check later - i am curious as well. I am guessing around 35-40 fpe /in the 800's? as far as fps, based on the report and my memory of the adjustments I made since I last clocked it. The crowmags are pretty light for .25 but I don't recall the weight.

it's not really conserving air - one mag plus a dry fire takes it from 350 down to 200 bar.

The Crow-mags though really do create a small explosion when they pancake inside the prey. When scrubbing through the slomo footage you can visualize the spot in the zuch where it dumped the energy because everything is rushing away from that point in all directions.
