Howdy Toasty! I have only shot indoors once… accidentally, and nearly killed our new dishwasher. I don’t recommend that at all. I did get to shoot at Skout’s indoor range, big fun but no wind to blame.

An old chewed up cooler with scrap shirts and an old steel target in the back for extra insurance. Can get 12 yards in the basement for chrono work and standing 10 meter practice.

just a wood box backed with duct seal. Gets moved around quite a bit. Longest indoor stretch I got is 10m.

I've posted these before, but here goes

I shoot in my basement, which is pretty rough with most of the floor being bedrock. I have a 6 meter indoor range across the best of it with a lawn chair holding a 3/4" plywood panel. I hang a 4" diameter x 2.5" deep PVC pipe filled with duct seal to catch the lead. My paper 1"x1" targets stick to the duct seal which also helps keep the holes neat, even with domed pellets. I won't frighten you with pictures, as you truly cannot unsee it. I'll just let you see the nice bit.

It’s loads of fun and I start every morning with coffee, AGN and a shooting session!
I highly recommend it for a proper start to the day!
Edit: Some spouse’s might argue with my idea of a proper start to the day!

after work, almost everyday...

I've got a foam archery target, (similar to the one below) on a stand, at the end of my hall. I put an 8-1/2" x 11" piece of paper, with ten, 5/8" diameter dots on it. When that target is used up, another piece of paper goes up.
I shoot across the living room, and down the hall. Not a huge distance, but you work with what you have. Actually, I could open the back door, and stand outside, but...
I've been shooting over three years now, still on the same side of the target. It's quiet, the foam holds the pellets, very little mess or fuss.

I just put the Big Bang Pellet Trap on top of a (fake) milk crate. Longest distance I have available without moving shelves etc is 17’ to rifle muzzle or 19’ to pistol muzzle.

Not much but it beats long stretches of no shooting at all in winter, or when bad weather drags on.

When we moved from Nevada to the Midwest we bought a 40 ft Shipping container. We loaded everything and now it sits Idle. Only things in it are our 2 Incumbent Trikes. I believe it would make a Great 10-12 yd Indoor Range! lol Ya'll got me to thinkin!

This almost sounds like a good excuse to clean my basement ...................... almost.

might think of sound also , ear protection ? neighbor protection too. Hmmm acoustic (2x4) ceiling tiles , make it a total range moderator ?

I am set up to shoot at two Big Bang Pellet Traps at 15-feet in my shop. The shop has heat and A/C so I am able to shoot all year long inside, it is a simple basic arrangement.

Dang, look at that sweet shooting bench. Very nice.

Why all the shooting benches? We all need more practice unsupported or self supported.
