Rick’s offhand shooting is really quite remarkable, especially when you witness it in person.
My 500mm DRS came shooting the 18 grain pellets at 890-900 fps. I wonder what the “factory standard” is?

Rick is a cool guy. I enjoy his videos. Rick originally said regulator was set at 140 bar then he said factory is set at 110 Bar. I think 110 is correct

I believe he said he has the reg. turned down from 140, down to 110, and is getting 36 shots at 902 to 919 FPS with 14.3 Benjamin pellets.
Pretty impressive for a 5.1 lb. rifle with a 500mm barrel, and a overall lenth of less than 39" !

This is what I’m hoping for when or if the walnuts ever arrive. Perfect pellet speed. I wonder what the reg setting is on the 500mm to achieve that speed? Shouldn’t be that high with a 500mm barrel. Maybe 120b?

Gotta love video guys. Shoots in the 890’s at 27 degrees. The speed jumps as he keeps shooting because the sun popped out. Sorry Rick, in that moment, it’s still 27 degrees. It’s the gun or the tune. Shows videos target the gullible. Stopped watching at that point. And that’s why UA would never send me a free gun.

Hahaha I noticed that too. But then I realized the FX DRS is using the newest hybrid airgun technology that blends pneumatic power with solar power. Instant power boost with a ray of sunlight.
I’m still wanting to get one when the walnut stocks arrive hahaha. Hopefully the lower fps first shots are just due to some sticktion in the cold weather, and not a balanced valve type issue.

The speed difference in the video is of no big concern to me because it was cold out and maybe he truly didn’t do the FX pre video gun warm up. But he didn’t have to go used car salesman on his viewers. I have seen all the dumb uttered quick response excuses in the videos I’ve tried to watch over the years. And that’s why I have little interest in them. But these videos sell guns and that’s what it’s all about. They are not trying to reach you or me, they already have us. They are trying to reach the late night video clicker with some room on his card for a new toy that he’s been hearing about.
