I discovered the hard way yesterday that my safety on my taipan mutant doesn't do anything. I did have the gun pointed in a safe direction when this occurred.
The trigger is very light, I have not adjusted it but I did have orings service a while back, and the trigger was a little lighter since i got it back,
I tried adjusting it a bit - the first and second stage travel and weight, and all i managed to do was make it not shoot at all when pulled. I screwed the first stage travel back IN (i could not find info on if this increased or descreased travel) and was able to get it to fire again, but the safety still does nothing. I can click the safety back and forth, and fire in either mode.
Can someone help walk me through adjusting this to where it has a LITTLE more weight, and the safety works properly? I know the linkage is very sensitive, and I don't want to munge it up worse fumbling around without direction....taipan website seems to want to pretend this gun doesn't exist - no manuals, docs, anything - only the veterans.
