Element/immersive optics 5x

I don’t really understand the immersive/element situation. There’s a website for immersive scopes and one for element optics. The element optics looks like it doesn’t sell the pro version and sells an MRAD or MOA reticle. The immersive scopes site offers both the pro and the regular version but both with either Mildot or Mildot rapid reticle. But the element version seems to have the eye relief of the pro. Is it the pro version just rebranded for the North American market?
I’m actually trying to find the original Immersive version with the shorter eye relief either in the US or available to ship to the US but have been unsuccessful. Does anyone know where I can find one? Or have one they’re willing to part with?

I have the Element Immersive and 14x50 and (as of yesterday) now the 5x30 too. As you wondered, the 5x30 is essentially the “Pro” version rebadged. I can’t offer much in the way of long term impression, but I will ment a couple of things. The very short eye relief of the 14x and 10x take some getting used to. To get ALL of the huge FOV they offer, you literally have to be touching the scope body with your brow and have the bellows removed. If you come from the firearms world, you’ll have to fight your instinct to come off of that contact. You can use them with the bellows and with just a little bit of stand-off if you’re willing to trade some of that FOV, but I want every inch it offers and just retrained myself. It took little effort to do so, and that point of contact seems to offer the added benefit of instantly centering my eye within the eye box.
The 5x feels more like a traditional scope in the sense that the eye relief requires no getting used to. Beyond the eye relief similarities, it differs a fair bit from most low powered scopes I have used in the past. The image is clearer and brighter that is typical from traditional scopes and of course the FOV larger. The big ocular lens helps the scope body disappear from view. It almost makes you think you’re looking through a window, but a window with a 5x pane in it. Looking through this scope with both eyes open seems almost second nature to me for some reason. Considering that this is something I STILL occasionally struggle with even though I’ve fired thousands of rounds through guns with non magnified optics and hundreds of thousands of paintballs (hardcore paintball player from 1986 through 2008) through guns with no sights at all, the natural both eyes open thing was noteworthy in my mind. I think I’m really going to like this scope on my customized short barreled Wildcat and will move the 14x to my Impact.

It looks like Drew's Lab in Scotland has both the original 5x30 & 5x24 in stock. At least I was able to add them to my cart without getting a prompt that they were not.

Otherwise, you are correct. The Element 5x30 is the newer 5x30 Pro with a different reticle & supposedly upgraded anodizing & turrets.

Many months ago I added the IO 5x30 Pro to my cart from another UK dealer. I got partway through the checkout process before I was informed they wouldn't ship to the US. I think it was Vector Air. Regardless, the exchange rate at the time as calculated by PayPal & the overseas shipping was going to make it quite expensive so I decided to wait & see what the Element 5x30 would cost. So far I haven't ordered either.

I believe someone else recently ordered a 5x30 Pro & may have included what they paid for a US sale. I'll see if I can find it.

I did have a short demo of the original 5x30 & had a lot of correspondence with the owner of that scope. He also had the original 5x24.

My take based on my demo of the 5x30 & his long term use of both is that the biggest difference between the two is the depth of field. The 5x24 being a bit longer & more forgiving.

The eye relief difference is important depending on which gun it is going on. The Pro would probably block the magazine port on my P-rod but the original would work fine. But the original doesn't have enough eye relief for either my Leshiy Classics or Leshiy2. At least for me.

Same as I have a problem ordering scopes from US to CAD because of the ITAR, the EU/UK have the NATO restriction sending to America. These export laws became lately more religious.
A workaround is possible but need to get "dirty". Either get it to a friend in EU and he can forward it to you in US. Any middle man will cost.
If you really want the IO scope, as a first step would be asking IO directly, they may want to tell you some shortcuts.

I just received an Immersive 5x30 "regular" (not Pro) from a shop in the UK, no restrictions, no fuss at all, took 10 days to arrive after I ordered it. $316. including shipping (wait, that included a wheel too, so only around $300.), way cheaper than $600 for the Element version. I understand markup but that is robbery. So far I love the optic. If you want the name of the vendor, please message me. Or search "Immersive 5x30 for sale" and look for the UK vendors.
