Athlon Forerunner?

Theyre $130 on ebay right now, but it's side focus and I thought it went down to 10 yards. Hmm...

I own 2 athlon neos, a 6-18x44 and 4-12x40. Both very good budget scopes. I prefer them over westhunter and hawke vantage line.

Yep, just checked and they do only adjust down to 20 yards. Bummer.
I think if athlon did the neos with sf and gave it the mil dot and kept it at or under $150. That would be a seller ..

But no mildot neos at all .

Then that four runner seems to only be a bdc reticle .. mehaaa..... I'd pass on that in air gunning .. ( opinion)

I use the Talos in the 3-12. But kinda wish one was the 4-16 ( mildots)

Overall can't complain on athlon . Been good and solid for me on anything used ..

Both my neos are side focus but yes they only offer those in that center x reticle. I may purchase a talos mildot in 4-16x40 myself.

I just got a deal on a Westhunter 6-24x50 in second focal plane side focus, which I prefer. I have never really liked a FFP scope. Had 2 or 3 and got rid of them.

I guess this is Athlon's try at a basic inexpensive big game hunting scope. It's lighter weight than the Talos 4-16 and has a wider FOV at 4.5x than the Talos does at 4x. Likely also a wider FOV on 14x than the Talos does at 14x. Might also have superior lens coatings and prescription since it's a new design which means better image qaulity. Also likely a wider eyebox.

Would work for airgun but it'd need to be on lower magnification when shooting sub 20y. BDC reticle, nope not great for airgun.
