Daisy Powerline 717

Hi all I’m needing a rear sight for the above pistol
Realise that this question has been asked before but I’m trying again .
Have a near new pistol that was accidentally dropped and the rear sight copped the brunt of the fall
If anyone can help me out I’d really appreciate it

so, this is hard nut to crack.
JG has none and i assume Daisy.
you could try here.

he had some last year i bought some from him.
now that leave the owner to try to make a replacement.
the problem for the Diasy 7-7 seller and buyer is there are many pistols in very nice condition but they have a broken rear sight.
now i made 2 replacements and i thought if was easy enough and anyone could do it i would share but it was tedious at bast to do with just a hacksaw and files.
i used a piece of 1/2 x 5/8 aluminum bar stock and a Ruger pistil rear sight off Ebay.
the sight is plenty nice enough and the bar stock fit the sight channel but it was the ability to keep it square and cut the notch for the sight to sit in.
the sight and the block are just epoxied together and the block will slide up and down and with that and the sight adjustment you would have no trouble make it work and it will give you a long sight radius

i made them for myself but it someone could make a 3D printed base for the sight then anyone could merry the two components together with epoxy

Jim i have look for any picture and found none on the sight and maybe it is because they were on photo bucket and we both know they are all gone.
maybe saved to someone computer but that is hard to search.
the goal would be to get a sight that could work, and the average tinkerer could make up with hand tools, not something that would need to be machined and be worth more than the pistol.
even with parts a factory 717-747 cannot be rebuilt because there are parts no longer available and if you have never tried to take the spline washer for lack of better name off the windage screw you have never been in the bucket of frustration.
i made mine and they work fine.

and Jim if you can find a picture of Dons upgrade post it or anyone but again is it feasible even at that.
question
will a non-factory sight make the pistol be worth less or would it be a push if it was done well?

the number of daisy 7-7 with broke rear sights is endless and people buy them thinking i will just replace it and then find out with what.

but that is what i did and from the time of the post till now you will find the prices are 4 or 5 times higher
i had Bo-mar sights on my 1911 that i competed with and they are great sights and the micros he was talking about were more than like Pachmayr
the filler block can be just a 1/2 x 5/8 aluminum bar stock you cut off a chock and square up the ends a cut a notch and epoxy on this sight
