PS: I'd followed the RAW airgun lineup for years before I bought one -> Motorhead highly recommended them back when he first got one.
I didn't pull the trigger until the HM1000x came out with the AF (lighter) stock version.

I think the quality of all three of my guns is excellent ;), but I've never handled an older one made by Martin.

The moderators of RAW were not liked by many users even in the old RAW guns.

Kirk, I have an older pre AF RAW and I don't think there is any difference in machining on the AF manufactured ones.

Just a point of reference on Day 1 shooting my RAW HM1000x grabbing the first tin of pellets at random (FX Atomic 44.8 grain) I shot the lower 9 shot group at 50 yards with no adjustments whatsoever. By the end of the afternoon I was getting tired and shot the last three magazines with FX 50.2 grain pellets and shot rather quickly the top picture, a 36 shot group. Again, no adjustments whatsoever. Reg pressure 149 BAR checked at home using HUMA digital air pressure gauge connected directly to action.

Wind that day was moderate.
