Best no cost upgrade

I have some good working inexpensive scopes that needs a tool to adjust, i also have some scopes that have been destroyed or fogged or don't hold zero, and have adjustable turrents without needing a screw driver or coin, so a two minute job swapping the turrents will put a smile on your face. The threads seem to be universal on all i have encountered.

Very cool! Never realized they were interchangeable!
 
I've got a RWS 400S scope made in Japan. The windage adj won't stop moving. I need to see if I can exchange turents and get it working again. It's been on my Diana m48 since I bought it in 1992.
Those are Hakko and some had really cheesy plastic splines in the turret dials that strip. Take the dial off and then see if the screw will turn. Will allow you to adjust it. Some of the Beeman scopes have the same problem. Same basic scope except they look much better in black and gold.
