Umarex This is my Notos, this my gun..........

This has got to be the most fun airgun I've ever shot. I carry it almost every day while walking my chocolate lab thru the woods around the house, shooting at targets of opportunity. I have shot many plastic insulators off the abandoned electric fence in the back field and have target set up along the way for my shooting pleasure. This thing is so light and easy to shoot, and carry it was just made for carrying around. I did a trigger job and now have it tuned in to perfection and can hit a empty water bottle at 42 yards offhand every time. I have a Monstrum prism with 5.5-6" eye relief and a circle dot reticle and it is the bomb for plinking. It is as clear as any scope I've ever used. I'm learning the trajectory of the pellets at around 750 fps, at various distances and will have it down in my mind soon. I get right at 4 mags with no descernable drop at less than 50 yards, so that usually gets me thru my walk. I need more mags, so I won't have to reload on the walk. I'm using Maple custom mags and they are sooooo much better than the factory crappy mag. I've also shot this setup at 35 meters and it will do one hole, when I use a round target and light up my reticle so I can hold the 3 MOA dot in the center. The dot is a bit big, but it's really not impeding accuracy that I can tell. I've shot .60 cal paintballs at 25-30 yards with ease.
I have eight pcps counting the Notos, and this gun gets used more than all the rest put together. It's so much fun that I'm seriously considering getting a backup so I'll have one should they stop making them, they're that much fun to own. If you haven't tried one, you really should give it some consideration as a fun everyday shooter. The accuracy is still amazing me.

Two ideas for you:

Do a carbon fiber bottle conversion, it will only add a couple ounces, no suicide gauges and .22L of air!

Cut that dang faux bag rider thingy off the stock. It serves no purpose and you lose an ounce if weight.

I have 7 Notos sitting in my shop as of today, 3 Starlings down!

I have 2 of the Notos.
I do not have any bottle conversions which would add another $150 to an already great air gun.
The Notos is lightweight and I want to keep it that way.
I can always go back in my garage to fill it up again :)

One of my Notos gives me 5 magazines (35 shots) and the other 8 magazines (that is the number of magazines I have) of shots with CPHP.
Both very accurate.

First, I thought the "bag rider" was to give the grip/butt mount strength. I thought about removing it, but it really doesn't interfere with anything with me. BUT, my second Notos will be here tomorrow and I may go ahead and lop it off, but I'm concerned it will make it less strong.
I also thought about waiting for the Zelos, but I'm not enamored with the look, not bad, just doesn't look great, and I'm not dissatisfied with the Notos. I get enough shots outta mine, that it's not an issue, as I too can go to the garage to refill. I normally have to stop to set up targets anyway. I don't need a bottle added, it just makes it more unwieldy to me. I have bottle guns if I want a lot of shots. So, I thought I'd just stick with the Notos. If I hear a lot of good reviews on the Zelos, I may add it later.
I like the ideas, and love looking at all the mods folks have done, and hey, later I may do the same, but for now it's fine with me.

About the only mod I've been considering, is a forearm with bipod mount.

As to the scope/sight, it's a Monstrum prism 3X with circle dot and illumination. I almost never use the illumination, but it works fantastic, absolutely no flare it is perfect. Lenses are clear and bright and the dot is easy to use.. As I said, paintballs are pretty easy. I just ordered a second with a slightly smaller dot, but to be honest, I can't tell a lot of difference, but the sights are great for around $90.
