Hey guys, I received my Notos and am having a lot of fun with it. I have a question. If I fill the gun to 3500psi, turn the hammer spring screw all the way in and take 5 shots with 14.3gr Crosman Premier HP pellets I get an average of 770 fps. If I refill to 3500psi and take five more shots with the same pellets but turn the hammer spring screw out 1.75 turns from full in the avg is 761fps. If I do all the same again and turn out the hammer spring screw all the way out which is 3,5 turns the avg is 751fps. According to the manual the fps should drop way way more that I am getting when I turn the hammer spring screw out. What am I missing?

What does it mean where the manual says each turn of the hammer spring screw out should reduce the fps by 150-200. Thanks for taking time to educate me. (y)

That may be what they say in the manual but there are few reports of large dropps per turn.

Swap out the hammer spring with a softer one and see what you get across the spring compression range.

it's a
Gotcha. I will try another spring. Thank you again for the info!
good gun.. I did a little testing on my notos and found it looses a little bit of fps with jsb jumbo monster redesigned 25 grain pellets but shoots a lot harder.. I mostly shoot crossman premier hollow point 14 grain pellets and it shoots well with those.. I can get 4 magazines but the last couple shots seem just off the regulator..
I never tried adjusting mine.. figured it was ok as is.. but I didn't get the 780 fps like the box said..I think it was about where you said.. good enough for me but interested in hearing how it goes with the lighter hammer spring.

Does the Notos HAVE a regulator ?? For some reason, I was of the impression that they did not. Neat little rifles though !!
yes it is inside the air tube right where it screws on the body.. same as the pelenium.. they are inside the air tube..
now to shorten my air tube so I can make it 12" overall like the attaman ap16 compact.. yes I figure I'll only get 2 magazines instead of 4 worth of shots but I really wanted more compact..
