Umarex "Umarex Notos Update HUGE power Upgrade!" Or is it?

I hit 800fps with CPHP's with no porting at all with C88's FX barrel kit today!

WHOOT!! He is also the bloke that's shooting 18gr JSB's at 950 from his Notos.

It's a good day to own a Notos!

@Firewalker did you get the 500mm kit?
Nice looking group!
That looks as long as the Zelos! Maybe it's just your extended moderator... Speaking of which, how's the noise level?

Yes, it's the 500mm kit. I'll bet it's longer than the Zelos but that's OK, this is all about potential!

I chopped off 8-5/8" off a 700mm barrel to get rid of the choke, I am dreaming about slugs... 🤩

(Don't tell anybody but Im getting a prototype 700mm kit too!)

I was looking at the 380 kit and wondering if I could chop a 500mm slug liner down to lose the choke and shoot hybrid slugs.
Not sure if that's even a feasible idea but I'd like to get both my .22cal shooting the same ammo.

LOTS more products coming soon.

YES! You will be able to chop the choke off but you NEED a lathe to face and crown the liner.

I can do all of that for you if you wish.

That is a .36l bottle. No, I did not do anything to the bottle. That’s how I received it
Looking forward to using your advancements (Ref. - 4/19/24 Discussion on 380mm Kit, etc...) Thanks cfs916! suthner
My current notos with 500mm stx barrel is doing 34 fpe with jsb18gr at 928fps. Reg at 150bar, 67cc plenum volume, all ports drilled out to 4/4.5mm, and 4mm extra spring preload

Very nice David! Saw your post in the FB group too. I'm waiting for my plenum kit to turn up. How far are the two snap rings measured from the tip of the moderator? I'm going to remove the moderator this weekend and like to save it and thread it with 1/2 UNF.

Part the plastic at 5-1/2" from the face of the moderator housing, the C-clips will be behind the cut, the good moderator will be in front.

I’ve had a chance to do some experimenting since we’ve had all the rain/storms around here, I’ve had some inside the shop time.

Opened transfer path to .213”
Opened barrel transfer to equivalent
Moved probe shoulder back and thinned
Made a flat seat valve w/peek poppet
Poppet stem .078”
Factory valve spring
Opened up the tank mount path

Transfer path required tapping bottom drill plug for 1/4-28 and making a new screw, the same oring was used here.

I set the factory reg at 2600’ish checked via the bleed port.

2 coils clipped from stock spring
Bored hammer then added back plastic spacers to make adjustments and lighten hammer. This thing barely has any hst adjustment travel.

Stock tank with no added plenum

14.3gr @ 960 (cphp)
25.4 @ 784 (Jts)

Comes off reg after shot 5

Surprisingly consistent

Is it possible to remove the barrel without discharging the plenum?

Yes, this build uses the FX system where the liner is rifled and the barrel is for tension and is just a threaded stainless steel tube.

The liner removal is the same with the Notos 1 piece solid barrel and the FX liner kit.

Remove the 2.5mm buttonhead screw from the picrail.

Pull the picrail off the gun.

Remove the 2mm grub screw from the receiver (it's right under the buttonhead screw) and pull the liner/barrel assembly straight out.

No degassing etc. Just make sure the lever is not cocked.
