Sheridan Shooting the Bluestreak at 75 yards!

I had to put a flashligh on my front sight to get it done, but the old guy still has it. Lol "both of us"

We grew old together.

I raised up the rear sight almost a 16th of an inch, using 8 strokes. JSB 13.73s.
I have been wanting to this but I decided not to put the older Streaks (65 & 55) up to this pressure, as they are original.

👍

75 yards is a nice long shot with those sights. You must have way better eyes than me. :)

Putting the flshlight on the front site did it. Before that it was just a blur.
Seriously my first group in that dim light was about a 12 inch group.

I used to be able to focus back and forth from the post to the target, but those days are gone.

Thanks for the response.
Try that flash light trick from a bag and the Sheridan is easily capable of Coke can accuracy at 75, even with old eyes.

when he was at my house ,same gun ithink , he saw a 46 yard spinner i had out (1.25 inch washer ) raised the rifle and hit it first time , looks to me same gun same peeps !

Something special about a pumper. As this crazy world spins blindly into the abyss, remembering yesterday, more importantly handling it, reliving it, may be all the freedom we have left. Us “old guys“ that is.
Having people to share it with adds to the gratification thats forsure.
It used to be pretty lonely, I used to sit and wonder, "is there was anyone out there like me?" Then came the internet which gave folks like Air Gun Nation a platform.
👍

Yes Sir, thats the same gun Stan. I grew up shooting that guy. Thanks for the trigger that helped its performance.
Morsefest, the annual event we come to, is in early November this year. If we make it we should get together while we're that close.
An airgun show on that weekend would be great! I'd come home with a new gun. 😃

I did shoot my 55 Bluestreak at the 75 yard target before I realized that I might break it.
Normaly dead on at 30 yards, with four strokes, I used 8 strokes, and two complete rotations of up on the sight, to get on bull at 75, before I put it away.

The old gun lost pressure, and started shooting low. I set it back to 30 yards and shot a round on there using 4 strokes. It seemed to be ok with four, so no more heavy loads for the old streaks.

I got about an extra inch of elevation with one extra stroke at thirty yards.
It really messes with my elevation accuracy if I don't pay attention, and forget how many strokes I used.

This was a five shot group at thirty yards.

Three shots using four strokes, and two shots were with five stokes.
A perfect inch difference.

I had a 24X scope for that shoot.

I buy these old no name scopes at gun shows, a buck or two , usually very dirty . the one on the sheridan has dirty len's cleaned as best as i could . Has only 5 clicks in any direction to dial in , There is no way to determine who made it , maybe a hardware store purchase long ago ?
That is really cool in itself.
I have an old one from somewhere? that has no cross hairs. No noise in it? Maybe they forgot them and QC had the day off?
Lol

I remember looking at a BB gun scope in the hardware store had no cross hairs , no turrets , didn't buy as it was big money @ $ 3.50
I have a wide angle scope ,actually looks like an oval lens , haven't tried it yet .
