HW/Weihrauch HW50S 125 year Limited Edition

You're always going to get things that some like and others don't. Some are going to like the colors, how they got everything to work out the way it did and order one for themselves between both the color scheme and the anniversary edition part.
Did say in my first post I like laminates, own one and likely will at least one or maybe 2 more. Might well grow on me if I actually bought one, it's just not a color combo I'd go for if I was custom ordering a stock for myself.

Other people could say they don’t like hardwood stocks since they look like a piece of firewood. To each his own. This thread has gotten ridiculous.

I actually feel sorry for the OP. He proudly displayed his new purchase and most of you ate the idea alive. I hope he gets the last laugh when they are selling for big money next year. Laminate does have some real strength advantages as you will seldom find one broken at the neck in shipping. Now a gratuitous picture of my recently purchased off the wall laminate. Yes it’s factory standard circa 2004. I may need to buy one of those Weihrauch limiteds. Those two would go well together. Now if I can just figure out where the money for that one would come from!

I meant no offense to original poster just stated my opinion. God bless him I hope quadruple in price for him. I still won’t buy. Airguns in general are a poor financial investment. Again just my opinion.

Looks Chinese.
Looks like they're trying to hop on the Daystate Redwolf/Alfa Wolf wagon ............. I'm not sure that has any connection to the Chinese?
That said, I would not purchase one (they don't look bad) .......... maybe the folks touting the "Limited Run" FWB Sport will buy one ..............

Most commemorative airguns don't look very good, they're more novelty than anything. My HW35E/HW50S Nickel are in the same boat.

It puts the why in Weihrauch.
Lol....I have made no secret of my dislike for laminate stocks. If makers must continue to put them out due to wood availability, pricing, or stability reasons trying to sell me on plywood....maybe someone will put one together that has natural tones of something like walnut, and the outer layers of a higher grade figured piece. Veneer is not a new concept, and most of the dye jobs reduce the value for me.

Should be a Optional accessorie or included

Think of it as the "Snap on" of air rifles..lol.
See I can argue the point of snap on, I was a diesel mechanic for 10 years, and there are definite advantages to some snap on tools.

For example the $45 valve core removal tool, sure you can use the one that comes in the box with the valve cores but, oh wait…… never mind

😂

Can't beat those Snap On line wrenches. Not up for the commemorative gold plated wrenches though.
Maybe HW will build a gun I like for the 150 anniversary. I'll be 89. And stylin!
"I'm gonna strut like a cock until I'm 99!"

I don’t mind the look of the gun, what I can’t wrap my head around is the price, $550 for a factory HW50. I guess I’m not a diehard consumer of HW as I can not see the value in the rifle.
I shoot them like'en but neither can I .. lol. There's a point in you look at something and the price and say just ain't worth that any more .. he hit there peak and slipped over the edge ..imho

There making a pcp and an compressor look cheap any more .. not budget but decent ones ..

Oh... And I don't have to preorder and wait one out ...lol
