FX Fx Dynamic express 700

I have a FX Panthera that shoots 34gr Corbin Slugs very good. The Dynamic is based on the same platform as the panthera. My Skout Epoch will shoot the same slugs with the same results as the FX with a little better FPS spread but the groups are so close to the same. The AEA Challenger Pro likes that slug also and the groups are slightly larger because the first 2 shots are always faster if the gun has not been shot for about 15 min. When you get it have fun and tune, tune, tune and it will shoot great.

If budget is a concern the Airmak Katran X HP is a tack driver. Tube version about $1300, bottle closer to $1600. See Shooter 1721 review - shoots pellets but made for slugs in the 700mm liner.

I am not familiar with AEA but I’m just looking for a good quality .22 they shoot around 30grain slugs really good.

Sorry couldn’t help myself 😂 seriously though AEA is cheap chinese crap in my opinion, FX builds great guns and should fit the bill for what you’re trying to fill.

I was texting too fast so I didn’t read it again. I know I’m not really a fan of AEA and I do not have an AEA airgun. i’m really just a fan of FX. And I do have a Maverick sniper now I’m looking into the dynamic, but I heard it had problems with the Plenum around the barrel.

What problems? Leakage?

I have a Dynamic VP500 .22 on the way and it will be the 3rd FX I've seen (the others are my .22 Streamlines), I've only seen about 8 or 9 PCPs, one was someone else's, so you can see how desperate I am for quality information.

hello, I bought a dynamic express 700 in 6.35 caliber when they released it and in all that time I haven't had a single problem with any kind of leakage, especially around the power plenum. the only thing was that before the regulator sat down, it let a little air into the plenum until then. actually I just shoot, tune, etc 😁

My Dynamic VP 500 .22 arrived and has gone back for warranty repairs. Fairly disappointed but Travis at AGS (Air Gun Source, Canada) has been excellent in providing advice & information, plus my Streamlines have been fantastic so will hang on until the Dynamic returns.

The magazine nut fell out, not the end of the world but a nuisance.

Deviation has been 15-16 fps while my Streamlines maintain less than 1/2 of that. Perhaps the regulator needs to break in?

The magazine cavities are too long for pellets, so they should have made a magazine available for the 500 that uses a lid without the groove. An aftermarket maker is considering making these for me, or I will look at filling the groove. Not something one should have to do for such expensive magazines.

The problem for which it went back was because the power adjuster has no effect on velocity. It came set at ~13 ~ 970 fps, set at #1 ~970 fps, set at #24 ~970 fps, same at any setting. I suspect that the adjuster moves the spring seat and that's jammed, or perhaps the adjuster is unhooked? Will hear from AGS.

It didn't appear to have any leaks, FWIW.

I have the Fx dynamic 700 .22 and this gun is perfect for me, eventhough it's a slug dedicated rifle , it does a real good job at throwing pellets at pigeons within a 50 yrd distance, However this gun is a monster when you feed it heavier slugs, you can really reach them at a fair distance, im no long distance champ, and i shoot pigeons at up to 100yrds with ease. Slowly increasing as my confidence grows
Cheers

That simply means the spring was adjusted at the lowest tension I bet. Usually you have to get it set then use the tuning wheel but they all come loose as far as I know.

I have a Dynamic 700 Express in .25 cal. My biggest issue is trying to tame the beast. My first round with my chrono showed 1198fps at factory set with 34gr Diablo’s and a 12fps variant. I have since tuned an retuned an retuned again to get 26gr hybrids to 1054fps accurately. That’s at 110reg, 7macro, 2 1/8th micro. That’s with 50-60 shots per fill on a 420cc aluminum. And filling with a Rovair
