Crosman Another money pit. My crosman 3622.

Didn't the Disco already have the steel breech and was more powerful ?
Yep. Then they made the maximus which had a little better valve and longer barrel with steel breech. Also had the fortitude which was regulated and multi shot breech based on the Mrod mag and bolt, but sized for the smaller tune. Those didn't fare well on the market and had a tiny plenum. I gutted my 177 fortitude and it put in a maximus valve, and it went from 15 fpe to 28 fpe.

So basically they went backwards ?

Maybe Crosman has a huge inventory of parts they need sell so came out with a gun that they knew people would start and need to upgrade :ROFLMAO:
I totally agree! They didn't need to do much retooling in the factory thats for sure!

I can see their R&D department now:

Boss: "We need a fresh new innovative entry level pcp the likes no one has ever seen before!"

Lacky: " Here! I cobbled this up out of the scrap bins! Let's call it... umm.... 3622!"

Boss: "....................... I LOVE IT!"

If they weren't so damn heavy and long... the gen 1 stock by itself weighs a ton.

The Avenger and Gauntlet are at least as heavy and long or longer. The SynRod synthetic stock is very nice and light and I much prefer it for that alone. I cut my shrouds back and installed either hybrid aluminum/steel or all aluminum reservoir tubes. My Marauders are short, light, fast compared to the bulky Avengers and Gauntlets. You are modding your 3622, maybe you should mod out a Marauder ;). A 5 pounds Marauder 36 inches long is within the realm of possibility. Might have to go to a chassis to get all the way there. But I am close.

Never owned an avenger or origin. Had s gauntlet and I couldn't sell it fast enough lol. My OCD starts twitching if my gun is longer than 40 inches with shroud/mod.

My kral 357 I built is 49", and that's only acceptable since its a big bore amd fully shrouded/baffled.

So do you think this deep stain would come out? I have a gallon of fresh white vinegar I just bought. View attachment 446060
Stain over it and get a fancy grain look from it .. heck the stains in the wood may make it look like fool your friends tiger walnut ..lol

If it wasn't for the fact that it looks like it was stood against a wall and the water leeched up the butt(lol), it would look pretty cool with just a finish. I still have to trim and shape it down, it's just rough cut right now. I think WoodWelder is right, that most of it will come out with finish sanding.

Oh well... I just thought it would give it a unique character.. one of a kind thing ..😉

Same here, OCD kicks in hard beyond 40 inches and 6 pounds. Which is why this Maruader was built, 5.2 pounds, 38.25 inches long, 60 fpe. I retain two baffle cones, no cones should get the shroud even with the fill cap.

In front of the Marauder barrel inside the shroud are 7 baffle cones, a spring and the air stripper. Remove some or all of the baffle cones, cut the shroud, rethread, preferably for a 1/2X20 adapter and you have a sub 40 inches rifle. Build or purchase an aluminum reservoir tube and install it all in a SynRod stock and the result should be around or under 5.5 pounds. A few ounces this way or that different depending upon having a regulator, light weight hammer or such as that or not.

Got most of the work done on the 3622. Carbon fiber shroud with a modified Prod air stripper and a couple baffles. 40" AOL on the nose, but so thin, light, and easy to carry, make it worthy of the length.

It is SUPER QUIET. Barely any sound besides the pellet hitting target. I need to finish up the trigger guard and make a barrel band, and finish the stock. Then it'll be time for powder coating the breech.

It likes hades pellets, but I tried some RWS H points and they stacked at 25 yards, even with pretty bad winds today.
