There's Always Something in the Way..

Oh well....it can wait.

It happens all the time to me, too. High-speed beef starts wandering around when I start pounding on the steel targets. They act as if it is some kind of dinner bell. This yearling is just noticing the target I put out and then started stalking it, after I had circled it twice to put the target out and get my gear ready.

Your projectile traveled in an arch, so you probably won't hit the chickens, I would be a little concerned for the dog though.

If the back stop will allow, set your targets waist or chest high. Then you won't have to bend down to place new targets, and the critters will be safe.

My two cats are in the way a...lot.
I'll shoot with either of them at my feet, but any further out, and I normally have to move them...one way or another.
